Description

• This position can be 100% remote. • Dynavax develops vaccines to protect against infectious diseases. • Current projects include COVID-19, plague, shingles, and Tdap vaccines. • Vice President, Information Technology responsible for global technology strategies. • Lead IT organization for effective global technology solutions supporting business objectives. • Establish information technology roadmap spanning various applications and services. • Seeking an innovative IT leader with life sciences experience.

Requirements

• Minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience in an IT/Technology leadership role within the life sciences field, including at least 5 years in an executive capacity (at the Vice President Level) • BSc/BA in computer science, business administration, or information management; or equivalent qualifications; MSc/MA preferred • MBA or Graduate degree and/or equivalent preferred • Recent and substantial pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience is required • Deep experience across R&D, manufacturing, and commercial functions required (within life sciences / pharma / biotechnology strongly preferred) • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong executive leadership skills with experience in growing and leading a high-performance team • Innovation thought leader who combines experience and creativity to drive change • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work with others in a positive and collaborative manner • Strong cross-functional collaboration/leadership skills • Excellent communicator (written & oral) with strong presentation and organization skills • Ability to sit; stand; walk; reach with arms and hands; lift and move small objects; and use hands to keyboard and perform other office related tasks including repetitive movement of the wrists, hands and/or fingers • Occasional travel required, as needed.
