Description

• Manage denied insurance claims and ensure timely resolution of accounts receivable from home office. • Analyze and resolve denied insurance claims by reviewing medical records, coding, and payer contracts. • Generate effective written appeals for denied claims to maximize reimbursement. • Monitor aging reports and follow up on unpaid claims to ensure timely processing. • Identify trends and patterns in denials to proactively resolve recurring issues. • Collaborate with coding and billing teams remotely to address any discrepancies or issues. • Maintain detailed documentation of actions taken and communicate denial patterns to management. • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and other regulatory requirements. • Assist in educating and training staff on denial management processes.

Requirements

• Experience in medical billing, AR follow-up, or denial management. • Strong knowledge of insurance billing processes, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers. • Proficiency in medical coding and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on customer service. • High School Diploma or GED required; certification in medical billing or coding (e.g., CPC, CCS-P) preferred.
