• Responsible for generating new business by utilizing a consultative sales approach to develop leads and relationships with potential utility and public sector clients • Discover and understand utility and customer needs • Work closely with operations team to translate needs into installable solutions • Communicate directly with leadership, engineers, project managers, and other technical representatives • Develop financial solutions for customers and engage market segment leadership • Prospect for new business through research, trade shows, and cold calls • Cultivate business relationships and communicate solution scopes effectively • Meet standards for sales activities and results • Prepare and present professional proposals addressing customer needs and concerns • Maintain customer contact throughout installation period and monitor plan progress
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field • Seven or more (7+) years' industry experience selling large solutions ; or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Highly effective and successful sales negotiation and closing techniques • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs • Ability to compose and write proposals, reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
