• Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED) will serve as the leader of the organization, responsible for its overall strategic direction, leadership, and financial health, with a primary focus on fundraising. • This role involves developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure financial support from individual donors, foundations, corporations, and government sources. • The Executive Director will cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, lead donor engagement efforts, and oversee the planning and execution of fundraising events and campaigns. • Working closely with the Board of Directors, the ED will set financial goals, monitor progress, and ensure that the organization’s mission is effectively supported through sustainable revenue streams.
• A minimum of five (5) years of senior or executive-level experience in nonprofit organizational leadership. • Professional experience in health advocacy or health equity is a plus. • Proven success in fundraising with an understanding of cultivating and making asks to mid-level donors, major donors, foundations, and corporations. • Strong financial acumen and effective communication skills, including the ability to present and report on financial data clearly and concisely. • Demonstrated competency in leadership, project management, and volunteer management. • Proficiency in technology, including databases, websites, and Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent. • A visionary leader who can conceptualize long-term goals and translate them into a succinct, understandable, and actionable framework. • An authentic and effective communicator who can build trust and foster open dialogue is needed to guide an organization toward achieving its mission. • A strategic thinker who uses analysis, project management skills, and budgetary discretion to identify organizational growth opportunities. • A passion and authentic commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. • Ability to travel an estimated 10-12 days a year within the US. • Commitment to the organization’s mission and sensitivity to the needs of underrepresented populations.
• Competitive base salary range of $150,000 to $185,000 • Competitive benefits package • Domestic travel required about 10 – 12 days a year
