Description

• Directs the Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) program. • Provides bereavement support, guidance, and leadership for the SUDEP program. • Establishes and maintains strategic national partnerships. • Conducts presentations to external organizations to create awareness of programs. • Implements goals for epilepsy self-management-related activities. • Grows self-management programs and public awareness campaigns. • Manages national partnerships and identifies potential funding sources. • Collects and analyzes data and generates reports for projects as needed. • Works independently on various tasks with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required. • An advanced degree in communications, medical, nursing, public health, social work/social services, or an equivalent area is strongly preferred. • Experience may be substituted for an advanced degree. • At least six years of experience in project oversight, management and implementation, health education and promotion, writing and oral communication, and advocacy. • Nonprofit or foundation experience is a plus. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Salesforce, and database tools preferred. • Public health program development best practices. • Social marketing theory related to diverse audiences. • Effective principles and practices of program management and program evaluation. • Bereavement experience or similar experience related to knowledge of the psychology of loss and the stages of grief. • Proven ability to lead and direct programs. • Strong analytical abilities for interpreting data and presenting insights. • Communicate, orally and in writing, with a variety of people including service providers, individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, and those with disabilities.
