• 20+ years of Project & Program Management in client-facing Financial Services roles. • Demonstrable experience of setting up a Project/Program Management function from scratch in a commercial environment. • Strong understanding of Fixed Fee engagements & their commercial implications. • Ability to troubleshoot over-running projects & programs. • Demonstrable budget management experience for a project management function. • Ability to understand data and communicate the impacts both to senior management and direct reports. • Strong commercial mind-set. • Pragmatic & timely approach to problem solving. • Ability to coach and develop staff. • Experience in working in a complex matrix environment. • Demonstrable leadership, management, organizational, and team building skills. • Ability to build relationships with C-level management, peers and others. • Listening skills and ability to ensure open and candid two-way communication. • Negotiation skills regarding complex issues. • Ability to work well under pressure and keep emotions under control during difficult situations. • Ability to attract talent. • Broad knowledge of regulatory requirements, financial institution operations, and risk management.
