Description

• Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies. • We’re looking for a talented presales individual with deep expertise in cloud, hybrid cloud, and on-premise networking to join our global sales engineering specialist team. • As a Sales Engineering Specialist focused on Networking, you will work closely with our sales and field sales engineering teams to accelerate our presales motion by establishing secure connectivity to databases and related services for replication. • You will be responsible for providing consultative network architecture reviews and presales implementation and troubleshooting of supported connectivity methods. • In addition, you will be tasked with working cross-functionally with our SRE and Product teams to ensure comprehensive support for networking mechanisms and services.

Requirements

• 5+ years as a network engineer, network specialist, site-reliability engineer, sales engineer, cloud networking architect or other technical role with a focus on networking technologies. • Deep understanding of VPC design and implementation in AWS, GCP, and Azure including experience with security groups, network ACLs, and routing. • Extensive hands-on expertise with modern cloud, on-premise, and hybrid-cloud network architectures and connectivity mechanisms. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in the context of troubleshooting network and connectivity issues. • Passion for networking, related technologies and hardware, and the data domain. • Curiosity to learn and assimilate technical information quickly, enthusiasm to share and teach others.
