•About Fluence: Fluence (Nasdaq: FLNC) is a global market leader delivering intelligent energy storage and optimization software for renewables and storage. •Our solutions and operational services are helping to create a more resilient grid and unlock the full potential of renewable portfolios. •This position is within Fluence’s Digital team focused on Fluence’s optimization and algorithm bidding software offering, Mosaic. •The Senior Business Development Manager must have a strong sales aptitude and a track record of sales performance. •Must possess strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously as well as with multi-disciplinary teams.

Requirements

•7 or more years of work experience •At least 3 years of experience in North American Energy Markets – ERCOT, CAISO, MISO preferred •Experience with origination, structuring, negotiating, contract execution, and settlement •Experience with the management of physical positions in day-ahead and real-time markets •Experience developing trading strategies, managing risk thresholds •Experience with range of off-take structures, counterparties, technologies (e.g., solar, wind, energy storage) •Strong understanding of US Energy market rules and fundamentals •Experience working with retail electric providers, independent power producers, utilities, and traders •Sales/Business Development/Product Management experience with large enterprise customers in the renewable energy or technology industry •Experience and knowledge of North American Energy Markets, including trading in physical markets and bidding systems •Experience and knowledge of BESS capabilities and value streams •Owning sales targets, formulating go-to-market strategies •Mapping accounts & profiling buyers within client organizations •Ensuring alignment with customer requirements and key purchasing criteria •Experience working with CRM systems •Overseeing deal teams, including functional experts •Ensuring proper and timely contract drafting, reviews, and approvals •Excellent communication and presentation skills •Experience in pre-sales or sales role •Must be an independent, highly motivated self-starter •BS/BA in an analytical field preferred, or equivalent experience. MBA preferred
