Description
• Drive large application and platform development related connected vehicle initiatives within Ford • Define the cloud development roadmap to be delivered in partnership with business leaders • Formulate, implement and build new and emerging cloud application and platform development processes • Provide hands-on technical engineering leadership for building world-class products • Recruit, onboard, grow and lead a team of passionate software engineers • Direct engineering team and influence partners at all levels for high-quality technical products
Requirements
• 20+ years of technology leadership experience leading large-scale systems • 5+ years of experience leading a major cloud development and/or implementation • Bachelors' degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience • Masters' degree in Engineering (Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or other) or MBA (preferred) • Experience driving and delivering large scale cloud application solutions • Strong reputation as a visionary, innovator and leader in software engineering, with over 10+ years of experience in large complex multinational organizations • Exceptional, hands-on technical skills and ability to solve large, complex problems • Experience building world-class software and proven ability to implement engineering best practices • Experience building and leading global teams across many products and programs • Hands-on experience leading large-scale transformation of organizations • Has implemented, delivered and customized scalable cloud applications • Experience with GCP, AWS and Azure and device connected clouds • Intensely passionate about customer experience, operational excellence, and attention to detail • Strong skills in collaboration and teamwork • Ability to lead and navigate in a highly complex and matrixed organization
