• The Regional Account Manager is a key member of the Standard Logistics brokerage division. • This individual will be instrumental in the continued development of this organization. • Build and develop relationships as the dedicated point of contact regarding our partnership with all of our sister companies and other businesses between the company and the customer. • Help to design solutions and help our customers solve their supply chain challenges. • Monitor and assess customer portfolio, continually strengthening relationships with existing customers, and finding and developing new opportunities. • The Account Manager is involved in part of the sales process including light prospecting, lead generation, pricing, and closing of the business. • Track and trace shipments and provide superior service record with an on-time performance for 95% or better. • Proactively identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency. • Respond to customers with a sense of urgency to provide an excellent customer experience. • Handle all customer escalations and drive issue resolution as quickly and decisively as possible. • Ensure we are properly set up and use any customer’s TMS systems effectively. • Help to drive carrier retention by ensuring they have the best experience within our organization. • Develop individuals on your team to be self-sufficient while meeting the goals/expectations of the organization. • Responsible for attaining monthly individual goals which lead to meeting or exceeding region targets.

Requirements

• Required H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent required • 5+ years experience in full-cycle Freight Brokerage/Third Party Logistics required • Notable transportation/logistics dispatching foundation • Advanced verbal and written communication skills • Advanced organizational development skills • Advanced problem solving and decision making skills • Advanced skills in managing and negotiating with external vendors/suppliers. • Advanced knowledge of the transportation industry • Advanced knowledge of 3PL/ Freight Brokerage operations and programs • Advanced knowledge of truck transportation rules and regulations • Advanced knowledge of truck safety, DOT, CSA, HOS • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office & Google suite • Advanced knowledge of distribution support systems, such as TMS, Tableau, Market Analysis tools
