• The Sales and Business Development Specialist will play a critical role in the growth of our freight brokerage business Standard Logistics Solutions as our market share expands. • The candidate will be responsible for acquiring new shippers, liaising with the operations team and other internal functions and ensuring a best-in-class customer experience. • The role will focus on acquiring small and large shippers, with a focus on (but not limited to) flatbed FTL. • Identify and acquire new shippers in strategic growth areas for Standard Logistics Solutions. • Be insanely customer focused • Establish long-lasting partnerships with shippers • Lead business review meetings with customers, own the customer relationship • Liaise with operations, finance and other departments to ensure alignment • Identify new growth opportunities and liaise with team members to implement • Perform other duties as assigned
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent combination of education and industry specific experience • 3+ years of experience in the Transportation Industry in a freight brokerage sales capacity. • 5+ years of sales experience • Advanced knowledge of flatbed FTL • Advanced knowledge of the transportation industry • Advanced knowledge of sales systems and tools • Advanced knowledge of truck transportation rules and regulations
