• Moms First is a national nonprofit leading the fight for America’s moms. • We believe that motherhood is unfinished business of gender equality. • We organize the private sector to champion child care as an economic imperative. • We mobilize a grassroots community of moms and supporters to take action. • We change the narrative about moms and their societal value. • The Director of Private Sector Strategy leads organizing the private sector. • We launched the National Business Coalition for Child Care to engage over 250 companies. • We released a report highlighting the ROI for companies investing in child care benefits. • We facilitate discussions with C-suite leaders and government officials to solve the child care crisis. • We seek a leader to develop and direct the next phase of our strategy.
Requirements
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate social impact, government affairs, or advocacy/lobbying • Exceptional strategic acumen with a track record of high impact strategies • Charismatic leadership and storytelling abilities • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders • Strong network and reputation in corporate social impact or advocacy • Experience leading and managing teams • Ability to work independently with initiative and attention to detail • Committed to finishing the fight for women’s equality • Preference for those with experience on gender equity or workplace equity issues • Preference for candidates in the Washington D.C. area
