• Harbor is seeking a Director for its Research and Intelligence Practice Group. • The Director is responsible for overseeing all functions within the Library Information + Asset Management department. • This role involves leading our strategic leadership team, our managed library services team and collaborating internally across the practice and firm to provide exceptional support to our managed services clients. • Additionally, the ideal candidate will think creatively about finding innovative solutions to client challenges, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and strive daily for excellence.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate (JD) or Master's degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) or equivalent, required. • Minimum of 15 years of experience in a law firm setting. • Minimum of 10 years of experience managing or leading an information or innovation function. • 10 years of experience managing a law library is preferred. • Proven track record in leading high performing teams with a balanced focus on developing solutions, building client relationships, and fostering talent growth. • Knowledge of library technologies, integrated library systems (ILS), and digital resource management. • Deep familiarity with legal research tools and databases, such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, or Bloomberg Law. • Experience managing a team and leading projects, with excellent organizational and time management skills. • Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in law libraries and information services. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. • Specific knowledge of or certification in customer success a plus. • Experience producing regular thought leadership • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
