Description

• The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible for selling company products in a given geographical region. • Engages and qualifies new and existing customers. • Partners closely with internal and field-based sales team members. • Develops an understanding of Illumina’s technology and products. • Establishes strategies for obtaining new customers and maintaining existing accounts. • Makes outbound contact to identify sales opportunities. • Demonstrates ability to present solutions during customer negotiations. • Manages customer relationships post-sale.

Requirements

• Strong Genetics and Molecular Biology foundation • 2+ years of experience in a Life Science laboratory, Sales role, or a related field • Experience with strategic sales skills • Conducts presentations effectively to customers/peers/management • Preferred knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing and Genotyping methods • Self-motivated to continue learning • A demonstrated desire to be an effective collaborator • Strong desire to "win" and build customer relationships • Approaches tasks with urgency
