Description

• Responsible for contract development, PO creation and management • Lead the procurement contracting process and optimize performance • Engage with Business Owners, stakeholders, suppliers, and legal teams • Develop standards and performance measures for contracting processes • Partner with IT for technology needs to support contracting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with an emphasis on biotech/pharma, life sciences, contracting, purchasing, and supplier negotiations • 5+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry preferred, with a minimum of five (3) years of direct end-to-end COE / BPO supplier contracting and procurement operations experience • Substantial contract drafting, redlining, and negotiation experience, preferably in the biotech / pharma domain • Must have experience in the procure-to-pay (P2P) process and working in a P2P system. Coupa experience is a plus • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to be business facing across all levels • Must be highly team oriented and comfortable working with cross-functional teams • Excellent analytical skills and effective written and verbal communication skills • Working knowledge of GxP preferred • Demonstrated ability to drive oversight, performance and relationship management with external suppliers and services providers • Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of a rapidly growing biotech company • Strong understanding of the drug development lifecycle
