• Manage incoming leads provided by our producers and internal agency referrals. • Make outbound calls and emails to prospective clients. • Quote new business across all carriers. • Advise and educate prospects/clients on coverage, options and features. • Input accurate information to ensure correct risk assessment and premium calculation. • Cross sell additional lines of business. • Monitoring and distribution of call-in, website, internet and carrier leads. • Review and provide approval/direction of all new business policies that fall into our riskier business categories. • Review and provide approval/direction of any rewrite requests from the inside sales team members. • Review and approval all Paid at Closing binders. • Continuously work to improve the client service experience. • Develop, maintain departmental workflows and procedures, spot checking to ensure adherence to agency expectations. • Maintain and continuously strengthen relationships with carriers. • Work with other members of the inside sales team to achieve agency objectives.
• Holds a degree in business-related field OR a minimum of three years in an independent agency environment with a focus on personal lines. • Well versed and experience with major personal lines carriers in the New England area (preferably Massachusetts). • Currently holds and maintains required insurance licenses. • Acquire and maintain a Massachusetts non-resident license if not already licensed in Massachusetts. • Familiarity with the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) system. • Ability to both prioritize, as well as review, record and organize data from a variety of sources with a strong attention to detail. • Strong interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to work with all levels of the agency. • Working familiarity of Agency Management Systems (QQ is a plus)
