• Focus on selling Dairy feed and related products • Call on adult dairy animal owners for evaluations and recommendations • Conduct up to 25 farm calls per week • Organize and conduct educational meetings/events for local organizations • Enhance Purina's brand image and build store traffic
• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field strongly desired • Candidates with a pending bachelor’s degree or proven sales and industry experience may be considered • Previous Sales experience highly desired • Basic command of making nutritional and feeding recommendations to Dairy animal owners • Understanding of Dairy husbandry, management practices, and nutritional guidelines • Work/life experience in management and care of dairy animals • Competent in providing accurate feeding and management recommendations • Strong computer skills, specifically MS Office • Ability to be trained on ration balancing software (HerdSmart), Salesforce etc. • Strong background and previous professional experience with Cattle or Dairy • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong organization and time management skills • High internal drive, natural ability for relationship building, and leadership in a team environment • Ability and drive to make multiple daily sales calls to customers and prospects • On farm interaction in all weather types for evaluations • Ability to network in the industry for additional business and relationships • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds • Solid public speaking skills • 15% overnight travel plus daily travel in the assigned geography
