Description

• Ownershift is a for-profit, purpose-driven acquisition platform for employee ownership. • Seeking a M&A Operations Associate to manage transitions from acquired companies. • Requires adaptability and resourcefulness across a variety of responsibilities. • Engage in compliance and reporting for acquisitions. • Perform key administrative tasks to improve transition processes. • Collaborate with various teams to ensure smooth transitions. • Maintain a focus on efficiency and alignment during transitions. • Develop and execute integration plans while managing projects hands-on. • Address challenges proactively and support asset transition post-acquisition. • Assist in leadership recruitment and onboarding.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in integration, cross-departmental coordination, project management, or related fields. Direct M&A experience is a plus but not required. • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle diverse tasks while maintaining a strategic perspective. • A hands-on, problem-solving mindset, capable of identifying recurring challenges and implementing long-term, strategic solutions. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments and stakeholders. • A proactive, "figure it out" attitude, with a desire to learn, adapt, and solve complex problems while continuously improving processes. • Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment where ambiguity and uncertainty are the norms. • Ability to travel 1-2 times per month to support transition efforts as needed.
