• Location: Remote (within the U.S.) • Salary: Competitive salary, reach out if interested; consultants encouraged to apply • We’re looking for a senior leader with deep knowledge of power brokers within the Senate to spearhead the Stop Cabinet Appointments program in the event that we are faced with four more years of a Trump presidency. • Movement Labs is dedicated to stopping the far right and saving democracy. We bring new thinking to the most challenging problems in the political ecosystem and rigorously test our ideas. We’re bringing in a senior leadership team to lead our work to stop Trumpism and defeat fascism. After the Cabinet fights, the role would extend based on performance to new programs. • If Trump wins, stopping his cabinet appointments will be a key priority to ensure the worst of Trump’s tendencies cannot advance. Movement Labs is seeking a dynamic, execution-oriented team leader to spearhead our contingency initiative focused on stopping Trump cabinet appointments that threaten progressive values. This position will organize power against his most extreme appointments in critical Senate target states, especially Maine and Alaska, but also Iowa, North Carolina, and Utah. The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with proven ability to build and execute progressive Congressional advocacy campaigns, particularly focused on the Senate. They are well-networked within the capitol building, know how to leverage grasstops and grassroots power to win campaigns, and can drive a team forward with ferocious pace.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Senate, including leadership experience. • Deep understanding of the legislative process, especially as it relates to cabinet appointments and federal policy. • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex policy issues into accessible messaging. • Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing teams and driving collaborative efforts. • Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for outreach and engagement. • Passion for progressive causes and commitment to social justice.
