Description

• At Nivoda, we're passionate about pushing the boundaries of innovation to empower our customers in the online jewelry industry. • As an Engineering Manager, you'll be at the forefront and lead of this mission, collaborating directly with our business stakeholders and engineers to architect, develop, and launch groundbreaking products. • Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the next generation of industry-leading solutions, transforming how jewelry is bought and sold online. • Work closely with the Senior Engineering Manager and assist with all initiatives under them. • Work effectively with cross-functional partners and stakeholders, including Product Managers, to set and achieve optimal outcomes. • Update key stakeholders on the progress of projects. • Act as problem solver and coordinator for your team to remove roadblocks and ensure optimal delivery and productivity. • Involved in organising and handling Agile ceremonies and team-bonding events for the team. • Involved in onboarding new employees. • Work with all team members to nurture talent and improve the skills of each team member. • Measure the impact of your team and set clear expectations and goals. • Collaborate with various functions, drive engineering initiatives and have an impact at an organizational level. • Participate in hiring strategy, if required.

Requirements

• An effective and highly technical people manager to a team of high-performing engineers. • Proven past work experience in web application development specifically using the JavaScript stack (React/Node) with 3-4 years of technical expertise handling medium to large-scale 3-tier applications. • 3-4 years of experience in managing software engineering teams preferably with Agile SCRUM methodologies (having at least 2 years of experience in Agile). • Experience in translating technical concepts into language for audiences, including software engineers, and business and technical leaders. • Experience in building and managing software engineering teams in a startup environment. • Good organizational skills for keeping track of various budgets, employees, and schedules simultaneously. • Good analytical skills for evaluating information carefully and solving complex problems. • Good communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills for overseeing staff and working with other management personnel. • Advocates on behalf of team members in multiple ways including securing adequate resources for success. • Experience in recruiting engineering talent (preferred).
