• As a Partnerships Development Manager, you will be identifying, developing and nurturing relationships with academic players, to secure Owkin’s access to multimodal datasets. • Your main objectives will be to develop and secure access to data and samples access with the centers within your portfolio. • You will work directly with Data Operations, scientific, legal and IT teams to support Owkin’s partnerships growth at a regional level. • Leverage your network in oncology and other therapeutic areas to expand Owkin’s network and strengthen relationships with KOLs. • Identify and connect with academic researchers and institutes to explore opportunities for data access and collaboration. • Effectively manage partnership projects and initiatives, with support from your manager, as needed. • Maintain relationships and manage processes with academic partner accounts. • Negotiate favorable terms in partnership agreements with managerial oversight, as needed. • Identify opportunities to enhance existing products, and identify new potential product offerings. • Actively contribute to Owkin’s partnership development strategy, in close collaboration with other Owkin teams. • Represent Owkin at local and international conferences. • Work with the marketing and communications team to build a local footprint, within your geographic region.
• A degree in life sciences (MD, PharmD, or Master / PhD, in biology, bioinformatics, biological engineering or similar) OR a degree from business school and experience in biomedical research, pharmaceutical companies, TTO, etc. • An understanding of working with academic biomedical research institutions or experience in hospital/academic innovation or technology transfer offices. • Previous proven success developing business relationships in pharmaceutical, biotechnology or biomedical/healthtech/Medtech organizations or TTOs. • Experience with negotiating commercial contracts within healthcare accounts such as hospitals and/or research centers. • The ability to work and interact with multiple stakeholders from different backgrounds both internally and externally. • An ability to work in an international context. • Previous experience in working with multi modal data (Genomics, Histology, Clinical) is a plus. • Passionate about innovation, information technology and analytics. • The ability to prioritize and to juggle multiple work streams. • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills. • Fluent in English and French. • Flexibility to travel in Europe and internationally for partnership and company meetings, and conferences (30% maximum). • An understanding of data privacy and legal context for France and Europe.
