• Developing new business opportunities: This involves conducting market research, identifying potential clients, and creating strategies to reach and convert them into customers. • Building and managing strategic partnerships: Establishing strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders to drive collaborative growth and expand the organization’s reach. • Leading and managing the sales team: Providing direction, guidance, and support to the sales team to ensure targets are met and revenue goals are achieved. • Utilizing negotiation skills: Negotiating deals, contracts, and agreements with clients and partners to secure beneficial partnerships and maximize business opportunities. • Outreach skills: Ability to identify new customers and contacts within the Governmental agencies that can provide opportunities for Prairie Band in the construction sector. • Intermediate to Advanced skills in GovWin and CRM platforms. • Experience and demonstrated success in Section 8(a) Direct/Sole Source Awards from federal government agency customers. • Key Areas of Focus: Identifying and developing new business opportunities, evaluating and analyzing market trends, developing and implementing effective business strategies, promoting products and services effectively.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience selling services to the Federal Government • Uses intuition and experience to effectively market the company’s services • Ability to assist with development and delivery of compelling presentations • Demonstrates the ability to problem solve and develop alternative solutions when dealing with client issues or emotional topics • Must be able to maintain confidentiality • Must be able to demonstrate team behavior and willing to promote a positive team -oriented environment with the ability to both convey and understand the philosophies of others • Must be able to divide work requirements between office/remote time and travel • Proven results as a successful Director of Business Development or in a similar leadership role. • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a business development team to achieve and exceed targets. • Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitor activities. • Excellent negotiation and communication skills. • Results-oriented with a track record of driving business growth.
