• The Safeguard Medical Direct Sales Representative is responsible for sales activities in a geographical region including strategy development, tactical implementation, sales revenue growth, region profitability, and support and direction for 10 or more aligned Channel Partners. • Collaborates with the Director of Sales: LE, Education and Venues to develop region’s quarterly and annual sales goals and objectives. • Monitors and communicates the region’s progress against sales objectives to sales leadership. • Makes appropriate and timely decisions to ensure performance is tracking to or exceeding plans. • Develops key relationships (regionally) with existing, prospective, and new channel partners. • Performs quarterly business reviews with channel partners, focused on created KPIs to drive top-line, profitable growth. • Develops and sustains relationships with key channel partners and end users to stay abreast of current and emerging customer needs, volume potential, and pricing requirements. • Cross-sells Safeguard Medical products into key, existing verticals. • Empowers self and others through effective, collaborative relationships that accomplish sales objectives and creates an open and supportive work environment. • Ensures sales team is equipped with the tools and resources to drive profitable revenue growth. • Coordinates with Regional Trauma SME to ensure full support of the Region’s sales objectives. • Executes new product launches and product-focused promotions led by Marketing. • Engages with Product Development and Product Management, when necessary. • Collaborates with Medical Education/Training to ensure training of both channel partners and end users. • Adheres to regional budget and files expense reports in accordance with corporate policy.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ field sales experience with a proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales quota within assigned territory. • Ability to travel 50% or more within assigned territory. • Advanced computer proficiency to include web browser/internet search, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint capabilities. • Technical competence includes the ability to learn new software and systems. • English language fluency required. • Must have reliable transportation for use in daily duties. • Performing the duties of this job regularly involves sitting, standing, walking. • The duties also involve active hearing/listening, grasping, and reaching, as well as occasional lifting and carrying of product and supplies up to 50lbs. • Vision requirements include close vision, the ability to adjust focus and color code. • This position requires the ability to: maintain an appropriate work pace; comprehend and lead strategic efforts; exercise logic and reasoning; organize, prioritize, and strategize; read; compose written communication; communicate verbally; problem solve; make decisions; count and compute; analyze and interpret data; multi-task/re-direct; experience numerous interruptions; ability to focus in an open-office environment and work alone successfully. • This position requires the ability to maintain the highest standards of professional maturity, patience, and emotional intelligence in difficult or stressful situations. • This position requires travel by car and/or aircraft approximately 50+% of the time.
