Requirements
3+ years of experience in People Operations, HR, or a similar role, with a focus on Canadian and international payroll management. Experience working in a tech startup environment with a high degree of ownership and adaptability. Deep understanding of Canadian HR laws, Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) coordination, employment regulations, and tax compliance. Ability to advise on policy matters. Hands-on experience managing onboarding for employees and contractors, ensuring smooth and compliant processes. Comfortable using various HR tech systems such as Rippling, Deel, Asana, Notion, Slack, and similar tools to streamline workflows and improve efficiency. Experience with global payroll systems across multiple international jurisdictions. Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication skills and an ability to build rapport with employees and contractors across diverse cultures and locations. Able to handle sensitive information with discretion.
