• Advance your career as a Director of Development, where your strategic leadership, fundraising expertise, and passion for driving impact are essential to a nonprofit’s success. • We're actively seeking individuals who excel in cultivating donor relationships, securing funding, and developing comprehensive fundraising strategies that align with and propel the organization's mission forward. • Fundraising Strategy Development: Craft and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet financial goals. • Campaign Management: Lead capital campaigns, annual giving campaigns, and special fundraising events. • Donor Cultivation and Stewardship: Build and maintain relationships with donors, ensuring they feel valued and engaged. • Grant Writing and Management: Identify grant opportunities, write compelling proposals, and manage grant reporting requirements. • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor development staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. • Board Collaboration: Work closely with the board of directors, leveraging their networks and skills for fundraising efforts. • Budget Management: Oversee the development budget, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources. • Development Communications: Develop and execute development communication strategies to enhance the organization's visibility and attract donors. • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze fundraising data and trends, and prepare reports for leadership and stakeholders. • Compliance and Ethics: Ensure all fundraising activities comply with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

Requirements

• Experience: 4+ years of experience in fundraising, development, or a related field, demonstrating a track record of successful fundraising and donor relations, people leadership, and grant writing and grant-funded projects. • Strategic Planning Abilities: Exhibit strong capability to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. • Relationship Building Skills: Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills for cultivating and maintaining relationships with donors, board members, and other stakeholders. • Communication Skills: Possess exceptional written and verbal communication abilities for writing proposals, preparing reports, and conducting presentations. • Leadership and Team Management: Show strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage staff and volunteers effectively. • Analytical and Data Interpretation Skills: Ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and utilize insights to inform and optimize fundraising strategies. • Financial Acumen: Understand budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to ensure efficient use of resources. • Technical Proficiency: Proficient with fundraising software, CRM systems, and data management tools.
