📋 Description

• Lead and manage Institutional Review Board (IRB) staff and processes as part of the Office of Institutional Assurances (OIA) • In conjunction with the OIA Director: define and implement programs, policies and best practices to ensure compliance with Federal regulations and accreditation agency requirements • Lead site and program inspections by external agencies as needed • Establish educational outreach as needed • Lead the regulatory evaluation of IRB research protocols by the Human Subjects Protection Program • Advise and educate the IRB as well as researchers regarding regulatory, legal, and other requirements of research protocols • Lead various efforts to develop and define the human subjects' protection program • Make pivotal contributions to research compliance efforts to assess and mitigate research compliance risks • Support institutional initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school • Minimum five (5) years related/professional experience, including research, supervisory, or legal/regulatory experience • Prior experience with and knowledge of ethical principles, federal regulations, and state law as it pertains to the ethical conduct of human subjects research • Knowledge/experience with FDA-regulated research • Supervisory and training experience • Progressively responsible administrative experience in complex institutional setting • Increasingly responsible experience in interpreting regulatory requirements and hospital policy
