Description

• We’re looking for a self-starting newsroom operations manager to fill a paid position as a Deputy Operations Editor. • The Deputy will work closely with Semafor’s Europe-based Operations Editor to produce, build, and publish on time all of Semafor’s newsletters. • Ideal candidates are self-starters, keen to get involved in a growing newsroom, and to contribute in any and all ways. • The position is based in London, but we are willing to consider remote applicants in other European countries.

Requirements

• Experience in newsroom operations, including any responsibilities listed above • A willingness to take on a variety of tasks and responsibilities, ranging from newsletter production to administrative duties • Strong copy editing skills, including a sharp eye for maintaining editorial standards • An eagerness to be part of a dynamic work environment demanding initiative, flexibility, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed to help the team succeed
