• Servicing our Dental and Vision callers with eligibility, benefit coverage, authorizations, claims, and provider locators. • Utilize knowledge of claim adjustments and resubmission processes to resolve provider requests. • Provide feedback to Provider Relations staff on claim issues. • Support enrollment activities such as assigning primary care providers and updating insurance information. • Act as liaison between organization and client’s Member Services to solve eligibility and appeal issues. • Provide updates to providers regarding credentialing application status. • Educate callers on using the provider web portal for assistance. • Ensure calls are answered according to company and client guidelines. • Document call information and resolution accurately in internal systems. • Use effective techniques to ensure customers feel heard, valued, and supported. • Identify issues that need escalation to the leadership team. • Provide recommendations on process improvements to management. • Keep Provider Relations team updated on provider-related issues. • Participate in departmental projects when applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent. • 1 - 3 years of job related customer service experience within industries such as healthcare, call center, banking or retail. • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook. • Excellent listening and communication skills. • Superior customer service skills including the natural ability to provide empathy. • Strong data entry/typing skills. • Strong navigation skills and the ability to multi-task. • Excellent attention to detail. • Critical thinking skills to quickly analyze and clearly understand a specific request or customer need.
