Description

• With surging demand for renewable energy, Solstice is rapidly scaling. • We are seeking a detail-oriented, driven, energetic, efficient, reliable, and highly organized Senior Business Development Manager. • This person will be responsible for pitching in person and virtually, closing deals, and supporting contracting. • Grow Solstice’s revenue by securing contracts with new community solar asset owner accounts and in new markets. • Build and maintain relationships with community solar developers, asset owners and financiers in need of subscriber services. • Follow through on long sales cycles, identifying decision makers, influencers and champions, ensuring opportunities continue to move forward. • Track activities and maintain CRM to a high standard.

Requirements

• 5+ years of successful B2B sales or business development experience • Deep renewable energy market experience and contacts, ideally in the community solar industry • Track record of achieving quotas, targets and goals • Experience building relationships with C-level executives or VPs and navigating enterprise-level decision-making landscapes • Experience managing a team while also contributing to sales activities • Success in driving long, complex sales cycles to closure and overcoming objections • Networking capabilities across and up organizations to create relationships and leverage points • Experience with a CRM, ideally Salesforce, as well as Powerpoint/Google Sheets, Excel/Google Spreadsheets. • Ability to travel - 25-40% • Success in navigating cross-functional programs and communicating with varied stakeholders both internally and externally • A problem solver; excited to tackle both small and large challenges • Enthusiastic, positive, and team-oriented • Excited to work in a fast-paced, growing, scale-up environment • Driven, gritty, and resilient; demonstrated ability to persevere through unanticipated challenges
