📋 Description
• Southwire’s applications engineering plays a critical role in servicing high volume customers. • The CableTechSupport Services was established to respond, rectify, and restore electrical systems. • Looking for an engineer with in-depth experience in substation control and utility cable markets. • Responsibilities include aligning engineering activities with company objectives and driving specs in market segments. • This individual will interface directly with diverse customers and drive brainstorming sessions to deliver technical support to engineers and contractors. • Perform hands-on demonstrations and aid in conducting cable sizing or ampacity calculations.
🎯 Requirements
• Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's • Years of Experience: 5+ • Field of Expertise: Application support and/or product engineering experience in Wire and Cable, Power, Utility, Manufacturing, or Electrical Industry is required. • 5+ years of knowledge in industry standards • Hands-on experience with cable installation, splice & terminations, and connectors is a must. • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with large multi-functional departments internally and externally. • Bilingual abilities are a plus (Spanish, Portuguese, or other languages).
