Description

• The primary role of the Business Development Representative at Spherix Global Insights is to develop new business leads and enhance existing relationships through prospecting, research, and collaboration with sales teams. • Develop new business leads and enhance existing relationships. • Utilize prospecting and research tools, coordinate with assigned reps to qualify opportunities; prepare for and book pitch meetings with target prospects. • Strategize with team members to innovate & improve the overall sales development process. • Conduct sales development best practices on all channels to connect with new prospects. • Work closely and collaboratively with the sales team to develop and implement appropriate prospect communication plans. • Work internally with other departments to ensure proper quality and quantity of demonstrations. • Stay up-to-date on pharmaceutical market trends, products, and services to tailor pitches and presentations. • Identify and target potential pharmaceutical and biotech companies for market research services. • Support the creation of customized proposals and presentations for pharmaceutical clients based on their research needs. • Collaborate with research teams to ensure alignment between client expectations and deliverables, enhancing client satisfaction and retention.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) • 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a related role, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry • Familiarity with CRM software and sales enablement tools (HubSpot) • Strong research and prospecting skills with the ability to identify and qualify leads • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on persuasive outreach and relationship-building • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, supporting senior sales staff • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude towards learning and improving sales strategies • Basic understanding of the pharmaceutical industry or market research preferred but not required
