• Provide technical engineering partnership throughout the origination and design phases of renewable power and energy storage systems • Serve as a trusted advisor for utility-scale storage opportunities throughout the sales lifecycle. • Customer calls, describing technical solutions, managing technical cases, generating technical proposal content • Engage with sales, product leaders, partners, and deployment teams to align technical matters with product strategy. • Occasionally travel within the US, including visits to headquarters in California, Texas, or Colorado. • Vet technical viability of solutions, review RFPs, develop systems designs and specs based on Stem standards. • Interact with product management and vendors to evaluate and specify equipment buys. • Define value propositions for client needs in proposals. • Support sales and legal teams in client contract negotiations. • Provide scope of work documents and technical contract language as needed before customer P.O.s.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering or other related engineering discipline • Experience in client interaction & excellent written/verbal communication • Solution-oriented, organized problem-solving skillset • 2 + years of experience with utility-scale renewable energy generation projects • 3 years of Power engineering and/or system integration experience required • 2+ years large-scale interconnection experience required • Proven experience with interconnections, ideally in one or more of ERCOT, CAISO, ISONE and NYISO • AutoCAD software proficiency • Strong knowledge of industry standard design codes such as National Electric Code, International Building Code, International Fire Code and other industry standards • Strong knowledge of electrical principles, including medium voltage distribution, protection system coordination and relaying principles • Willingness to travel up to 15% for site visits, customer and utility meetings.
