• Apply and effectively use the Sales Methodology framework strategy in line with the organization's long-term sales and profit goals. • Communicate the value of doing business with Thermo Fisher Scientific as a total solution partner that speaks directly to the customer's value proposition. • Develop strong major account relationships at all levels of management to grow sales of MBD product lines in the assigned territory. • Develop a territory business plan and a key account strategy for each major account assigned, monitoring and reporting progress regularly. • Align strategy with other Groups and Divisions in Thermo Fisher Scientific through regular contact and interaction. • Understand competitive positions and tactics within accounts, maintaining strategies to oppose and mitigate competitive threats. • Negotiate pricing and contract terms with customers. • Collaborate with essential team members to develop and implement timely contract launches and renewals. • Champion Sales Force.com to manage customer data and leads, profile accounts, communicate opportunities, and manage the pipeline accurately and timely. • Accurately, efficiently, and promptly submit reports and manage expenses. • Demonstrate and role model the 4-I values to guide decisions and interactions.

Requirements

• Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Business, or related field essential or equivalent experience • 3+ years of sales experience in a relevant industry preferred • Understand and demonstrate the necessity for sales planning and execution using standard sales tools (e.g. Sales Force.com) to drive commercial operational excellence • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required • Ability to travel to customer sites • Must have a valid drivers license
