Description

• This is a technical sales role supporting our Gene Synthesis and Cloning business in the Biosciences Division. • You will work to establish relationships within the scientific community, manage the sales funnel, and work towards growth targets as you sell relevant products and services. • Achieve or exceed sales quota and objectives, while maintaining profitability and ensuring 100% customer happiness. • Establish and maintain communication with customers to introduce new products, expand sales, and explore potential leads. • Develop strong working relationship with Marketing, Technical Support, Customer Support and Production. • Work independently and alongside a team of account managers in order to fully penetrate the territory and drive sales revenue. • Responsibilities include: lead generation, team selling with regional sales team, moving the opportunity through the sales cycle, facilitating communication between the customer, the regional sales team, and the business segment, forecasting and territory analysis.

Requirements

• Requires a minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Cell Biology, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field; or the equivalent knowledge and industry/functional experience. • 5+ years of shown experience in a similar marketing, research, or sales role. • Business development skills and cross-functional team leadership experience preferred. • Must be proficient in the language and technology of molecular biology, gene Synthesis and or cloning, and Protein Expression. • Excellent technical skill and experience in Cell and Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Protein Expression and/or a related field is preferred. • Strong communication skills as well as analytical, project management and planning skills. • Ability to navigate accounts in broad geography efficiently and advance the large order sales process consistently. • High motivation and energy level to develop new business and the ability to work independently. • Has or will rapidly develop contact with external customers, internal customers as well as all levels of Company employees.
