📋 Description

• A shipyard operations firm is seeking a Director of Shipyard Operations to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all shipyard activities related to the repair and maintenance of inland barges and boats in Mississippi. • This role is responsible for managing operations while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. • The position requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and technical expertise to manage a dynamic shipyard environment. • Responsibilities include directing all day-to-day shipyard operations, developing operational strategies, monitoring project timelines and budgets, fostering a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with standards, managing customer relations, and developing budgets.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in shipyard operations or a related maritime industry, with a focus on inland barge and boat repairs. • Strong knowledge of vessel repair processes, materials, and equipment. • Proven ability to manage complex projects and multidisciplinary teams. • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. • Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and strategic planning. • Relevant certifications in safety, project management, or maritime operations are a plus.
