• About Upstart • Upstart is a leading AI lending marketplace partnering with banks and credit unions to expand access to affordable credit. • Most Upstarters join us because they connect with our mission of enabling access to effortless credit based on true risk. • Upstart’s Auto Retail team is on a mission to build the world's best car buying experience. • As a Senior Engineering Manager at Upstart, you will lead a team of engineers directly in building out a monetization platform that ensures profitability of Upstart’s Auto Retail products. • Your team will rethink how we launch new rooftops, onboard capital partners, consume model decisions, and price our loan offerings accurately. • You’ll work closely with our Machine Learning team to come up with solutions that need to be delivered at scale.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field • 8+ years of experience in software development with a minimum of 3 years managing a team directly • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and leading successful engineering teams • Ability to convey complex technical information to a variety of audiences • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. • Preferred qualifications: • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field • Experience with Javascript/Typescript based applications • Experience with microservices, AWS, and Kubernetes
