• Drive customer engagement efforts to create revenue-generating projects • Lead the development of the Utilities customers • Develop strong working relationships across the organization and quickly build trust • Build and maintain understanding of VEIR’s technology, design specifications and constraints • Review existing pipeline of utility clients and provide guidance on target clients for outreach • Review client-facing materials to provide perspective on key messages that resonate • Leverage existing relationships to open doors to new utility clients • Begin to build and expand deep customer pipelines through external relationships • Book and land two to three early pilot projects with utility clients • Support creation and iteration of comprehensive business development and go-to-market strategy • Position de-risked VEIR utility product for further scale • Build and manage active client pipeline for future revenue growth
• Experience selling products and/or engineered solutions into utilities, with proven success closing deals with multiple clients • Demonstrated success translating customer needs to Product and Technical teams to drive revenue • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills across all levels of staff and with external stakeholders • Adept at creating both client facing and internal presentations that communicate goals, values propositions, findings, and issues • Exceptional at networking and relationship building, ideally have an existing network of contacts within the utilities and power transmission sector • Driven by results - gauge success in measurable positive impact • Ability to match vision with execution; experience thinking big and executing with attention to detail • Able to thrive in a dynamic startup environment • Strong working knowledge of business/CRM systems (use Microsoft Office and Monday.com) • Willing and able to spend up to half time on the road, meeting customers domestically and internationally
