• Direct project management efforts to implement change successfully, promptly, and efficiently. • Manage highly complex projects and direct efforts of the project team and related resources to successfully plan, develop, test, and implement assigned projects. • Assume total leadership for assigned events on behalf of the Sponsor, responsible for project organization, planning, and issue resolution. • Provide project management expertise, including leading various highly complex projects. • Meet with business unit leadership and stakeholders to review project requirements, specifications, plans for testing, support, training, timeline, and budget. • Manage projects utilizing Velera project management standards; employing Agile, Waterfall, and other methodologies as required. • Coordinate completion of various integration elements of assigned projects, including project plan development and execution and change control. • Ensure projects are completed within established time and budget schedules; monitor and manage the critical path. • Ensure projects satisfy the needs for which they were undertaken by including quality planning, assurance, and control. • Provide proactive communication to project stakeholders related to projects, their risks, and mitigation steps. • Manage large-scale technology projects and multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment. • Critique completed projects to determine variations from established processes and identify opportunities for improvement. • Serve as project lead on projects with multiple project management staff.

Requirements

• Five (5) years of related project management experience required. • Experience in systems or financial services environment, card payments, banking, contact center, new product development, information technology or process re-engineering preferred. • Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Business Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. • PMP certification preferred. • Proficiency in project management, Microsoft Project, Visio, word processing, and spreadsheet computer software applications. • Experience with project management methodologies including Agile and Waterfall. • Ability to travel as needed, less than 25%.
