• VitalCheck Wellness is seeking an experienced Physician to serve as a Medical Advisor for a private client with a global presence. • This role will involve collaborating closely with the Global Leave Administration team within the client’s HR department to provide expertise in managing employee requests for medical accommodations in the workplace. • The role is fully remote and will provide global coverage. • No provider-patient relationship will be required, this role is ideal for someone looking to apply their medical experience to provide expert guidance as it relates to understanding employee medical conditions. • This role will also partner closely with the firm’s UK-based occupational health services and the internal team managing global onsite accommodations and the program in place to eliminate barriers at work. • Collaborate with client HR and partner teams to evaluate and address employee medical accommodation requests globally. • Offer insights and recommendations based on medical best practices and current research. • Assist in developing and implementing policies related to workplace accommodations for employees with medical conditions. • Educate HR personnel on medical aspects relevant to employee health and accommodations, providing additional context to client HR and partner teams as needed regarding the common symptoms/experience of individuals suffering from chronic medical conditions. • Review and analyze documentation related to medical requests to ensure compliance with legal and organizational standards. • Understand the programs in place at the firm and be able to provide reports that include resources available and highlight gaps that may require additional accommodations to meet the needs of the employee based on their diagnosis and recommendations from their treating provider. • Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and best practices related to workplace health and accommodations.
• MD or equivalent medical degree with a valid medical license. • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a medical practice or healthcare setting. • Previous experience working as an Occupational Health Physician is desired. • Strong understanding of workplace health issues, employee rights, and medical accommodations. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex medical information to non-medical professionals. • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. • Experience in an advisory or consultative role is preferred. • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. • Confidence working in a corporate environment. • Must be proficient with computers, customer service-oriented, and able to work independently.
