Through our vertically-integrated supply chain we grow, source, ripen, pack, process and market quality avocadoes & fresh produce – 365 days a year & across the globe. • With the largest avocado-growing footprint in the world, we are recognised as the leading #avoexperts and considered as the supplier of choice to both retail & wholesale customers whom we serve from sales offices in the UK, Europe, North America, Latin America & Southern Africa. • We are recruiting a brand new opportunity for an experienced Key Account Manager to lead our commercial retail accounts in Spain. In this role you’ll have the flexibility to be based at one of our hubs in Europe, or to work remotely. • Responsibilities include:• Developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies, monitoring performance and trends to adapt strategies for success. • Managing key retail accounts, developing strong stakeholder relationships to discuss performance and explore growth opportunities. • Identify and secure new retail partnerships with a focus on fresh produce• Ensure alignment with broader company objectives by driving sales growth, improving customer relationships, and ensuring operational efficiency. • Introduce new product lines and categories to expand Westfalia's presence in the Spanish retail market, developing a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities. • Collaborate with our commercial teams across the UK and Europe to ensure seamless product delivery, align sales strategies and leverage market data.

Requirements

Essential• In-depth knowledge of the fresh produce industry (ideally fruit, but we are open to all fresh produce experience).• Proven track record of building and maintaining strong retail partnerships, with experience driving sales growth through strategic planning and execution. • Strong understanding of the Spanish retail landscape, with insight into key trends and opportunities in fresh produce. • Fluency in Spanish and English is required; additional European languages (e.g., Portuguese or French) are advantageous. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior retail stakeholders. • Analytical and strategic thinker, capable of translating data and insights into actionable commercial strategies. • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple retail accounts and projects simultaneously. • Desirable• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field would be beneficial. • Prior experience of working with avocados specifically, and/or value-added products. • Proficiency in using sales and CRM software, with a solid understanding of market data platforms (e.g., Nielsen, IRI).
