Description

• Provide day-to-day support for legal matters concerning WEX’s Mobility & Payments activities • Negotiate, review and draft a variety of commercial transactions • Provide solution-oriented legal advice throughout the product life cycle • Identify, manage and escalate legal issues and risks • Build and maintain processes consistent with best practices • Collaborate with colleagues in other areas of the legal department • Ensure agreements adhere to corporate policies and standards • Support pre-litigation disputes raised by customers or commercial partners • Engage and manage outside counsel and oversee their work product

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree and active State Bar membership required • 7+ years of legal experience, or equivalent relevant experience demonstrated through work or military experience • Experience in payments and/or financial services industries • Understanding of the legal and practical components of a product life cycle • Significant commercial drafting, reviewing and negotiating experience • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills • Excellence in resourceful problem solving, detailed analysis, and issue resolution • Great understanding of complex commercial and technical issues and business metrics • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills • Collaborative and can work as part of a team • Proactive in pursuit of continuous improvement and learning new skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in using Google Suite and contract lifecycle management system(s)
