β€’ The primary purpose of the Client Manager: Natural Gas & Electricity position is to originate and maintain revenue with our larger clients. β€’ These clients hire us under long-term contracts with the Client Manager: Natural Gas & Electricity and supporting staff providing energy expertise and services. β€’ The Client Manager: Natural Gas & Electricity manages complex energy issues and develops client relationships while promoting WFS products and services. β€’ Persons in this position work independently and are expected to perform at an expert level in technical knowledge, negotiating skills, and communications. β€’ They are also expected to mentor the less experienced Account Managers and occasionally present our services to prospective clients. β€’ Originate core agency revenue through existing client relationships. β€’ Originate consulting revenue from Advisory Services projects through his/her existing client relationships. β€’ Lead internal teams to address issues related to business strategies, systems, processes, and/or procedures.

Requirements

β€’ 5+ years experience in managing client accounts, particularly in the natural gas and electricity sectors. β€’ Knowledge of interstate pipelines. β€’ Six years or more experience in the energy and Gas industry. β€’ Ability to think strategically about the client to provide additional value, which can translate into increased revenue for the company. β€’ The following is a list of specialized training that is valuable to the Account Manager position: Professional Engineer certification, CPA, Certified Energy Manager, Certified Energy Auditor, Certified Energy Procurement. β€’ Strong interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, writing, and price risk management knowledge (gas and electric markets, financial tools). β€’ Regulatory knowledge, energy infrastructure, and sustainability. β€’ Problem-solving, mathematical, and organizational skills. β€’ Communication skills, both written and verbal. β€’ Team player who excels at performing in a collaborative environment, upbeat. β€’ Ability to manage multiple highly complex projects. β€’ Ability to drive internal change. β€’ Strong understanding of natural gas and electricity systems and related industry standards. β€’ Ability to look for growth opportunities for the company (customer, sales, revenue, and/or technology).
