Description

• Responsible for selling complex technical products and/or services. This would typically be a limited number of the company’s products in a technology or those that are strategic in nature. • Specializes in a single product or product line and carries a quota. • Generally, account-assigned for a specific territory of named accounts; called into accounts as opportunities are identified and may work with partner and account-assigned account managers to close sale. • May manage and coordinate the sales and technical team in support of the sale of the company’s products. • May also be viewed as a technical product expert to develop and present sales proposals and systems solutions, and close complex technical sales. • Advanced professional leading medium to large projects or working on complex or high-profile issues that require a broad perspective, conceptual thinking, and in-depth analysis to identify solutions. • May also lead a process or function without direct reports. • Work with the technical team to provide sales feedback and help identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Demonstrates a depth and breadth of expertise within a discipline • Has a deep understanding of the business, financials, products/services, or market • Develops policies and procedures, and recommends best practices • Advises and provides direction to more junior professionals • Minimally requires a Master's degree and 4 years of related experience, or Bachelor's degree and 6 years of related experience, or high school degree and 8 years of related experience • Superb relationship building skills • Strong background in new business sales with a demonstrable track record of success • Background in a consultative sales environment with an excellent understanding of complex solution sales cycles and proven experience in successful solution selling • Experience and proven ability to sell to the business, as well as the IT influencers • Inquisitive and tenacious with the ability to find new opportunities and extend the value of accounts • Credible at both executive and operational levels, with the ability to develop long-term relationships • Comfortable in carrying a quota, have strong organizational skills and excellent relationship skills • Will have a ruthless focus on results – pipeline generation, revenue and profit, with the ability to lead and inspire others in your ecosystem • Excellent communicator, both written and verbally
