📋 Description
• The Director of Development will develop a staff team for fundraising events • Reports to the Managing Director of Development • Manages implementation of community engagement strategies • Oversees fundraising team and provides coaching • Analyzes data to assess program performance • Prepares performance reports for leadership teams
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree • A minimum of 5 years of recent and relevant fundraising and event production experience • Proven history of achieving revenue goals • Proven managerial experience • Ability to effectively coach, delegate and manage responsibility • Knowledge of general human resources practices • Extensive experience in fundraising and fundraising mechanics • Demonstrated ability to lead, effectively organize fundraising activities • Provide high-level customer service and support • Demonstrated ability to incorporate the latest peer-to-peer fundraising tools into the event experience • Consistently strong organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills • Excellent written communication, public speaking, and customer service skills • Ability to quickly learn, use, and train staff in the use of a donor database • Proficiency with video conferencing software • Ability to “think on one’s feet” and adapt to shifting priorities • Ability to work evening and weekend hours • Ability to stand for 6 hours daily • Ability to travel on Association business as required
