Description

• Reporting to the Vice President, the Senior Director will develop and implement fundraising strategies for major and planned gifts in support of the ALS Association’s strategic priorities and mission. • The Senior Director will manage a team of gift officers and carry a portfolio of approximately 30 leadership supporters at the $25,000 and above level. • Utilizing relationship management strategies, this position will increase revenue and build a pipeline of major and planned donors for sustainable revenue. • The Senior Director is a critical partner to field-based leadership and development staff, building donor investment strategies together with gift officers and relationship managers, and supporting the execution of these strategies to secure support. • The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic professional with strong leadership skills, relationship management and communication experience, and is committed to fundraising for positive change.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university required. • Seven (7) or more years of major gift experience or a related field. • A self-starter with outstanding communication skills. • Ability to successfully engage with a diverse staff and range of donors, volunteers, and community members. • Collaboration skills required to partner with leadership staff and volunteers and field. • Development colleagues involved in the achievement of revenue goals. • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills. • Commitment to equity and inclusion with an inherent drive to work and collaborate with diverse populations. • Ability to work with flexibility in a dynamic team environment and embrace organizational change. • Commitment to learn and utilize new technologies to improve efficiency and implement strategy. • Proven track record of closing gifts and meeting fundraising goals. • Possess integrity, maturity and ethical awareness; ability to handle sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality.
