Description

β€’ The Sales Representative is accountable for all sales activities, from lead generation through close, in an assigned territory, using a formal selling approach. β€’ This role develops and implements an agreed upon Operating Plan to meet personal and business sales goals in the assigned geography. β€’ Provide VWR solutions to customers across the Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Industrial (PBI) market segments. β€’ Manage a territory consisting of many customers across various markets. β€’ Prospect and establish new customers by managing a sales pipeline and developing proposals to illustrate VWR's value proposition. β€’ Maintain access of the entire product line(s) that VWR offers regardless of segment specialty. β€’ Sell consultatively, detailing products, determining customer needs and making recommendations. β€’ Work with sales management to develop strategic territory business plans for achievement of sales growth and quota attainment. β€’ Build and sustain relationships with customers ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. β€’ Manage VWR's vast product portfolio and execute company defined sales strategies. β€’ Expand VWR's role with existing customers by developing retention strategies illustrating VWR's value proposition.

Requirements

β€’ College degree or equivalent/applicable experience β€’ Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in a complex sales environment β€’ Experience with dynamic, multi-collaborative purchasing decision and solution based selling approach β€’ A proven track record of verifiable sales success driving growth with a consultative, strategic selling approach β€’ Business-to-business (B2B) sales experience β€’ CRM experience β€’ Demonstrated capability to effectively utilize best in class selling processes (e.g. SPIN, Challenger, Miller Heiman) β€’ Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Office experience required, with preference for technology platform experience such as Salesforce and/or Qlikview β€’ Preferred Qualifications: Science or Medical Technology background β€’ Preferred sales experience within the Pharmaceutical, BioPharma, Industrial industries β€’ Distribution experience β€’ Prior or current work in a laboratory or research environment β€’ Willingness to travel to customer locations
