β€’ The Account Manager manages sales activities for the Commercial Vehicle Segment, achieving maximum market potential. β€’ Works with the Sales Manager to set target goals and develop sales strategies. β€’ Coordinates sales efforts and travels throughout the district to solicit orders and build customer relationships. β€’ Analyzes sales statistics to prioritize and manage performance. β€’ Works with the Sales Manager for marketing and competitive analysis to meet customer needs. β€’ Reports major account developments and performance status to Sales Manager and leadership. β€’ Represents the company at trade association meetings. β€’ Analyzes and controls expenditures to meet budgetary requirements. β€’ Assists in preparing manuals and publications. β€’ Prepares sales presentations showing volume and potential sales. β€’ Provides input for research and development expenditures. β€’ Manages product compliance standards.

Requirements

β€’ One to five years of experience in technical application or direct field sales within the coatings industry; a combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. β€’ Demonstrates effective written, oral communication, and presentation skills. β€’ Demonstrated ability to develop sales plans and opportunities and to lead, coach and motivate individuals to sell. β€’ Demonstrates strong sales and negotiation skills with key contacts and distributor partners in order to effectively present business proposals in a multi-level sales environment. β€’ Possesses self-discipline/self-management and maintains effective performance in unstructured and autonomous conditions. β€’ Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Windows.
