• The Sales Representative is responsible for managing an existing territory of established accounts while also growing business and selling solutions to potential Axalta customers within the structural steel market. • As a member of the General Industrial team the Sales Representative will partner with our coatings customers to drive new business to Axalta. • This is a remote-based role in the states of North Carolina, Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, or Virginia. • The Sales Representative works with a high sense of urgency and demonstrates ownership, commitment, and accountability to segment and Axalta goals. • Key Responsibilities: Responsible for business growth by selling solutions to across segment customers and accountable for meeting required sales/revenue targets. • Manages existing network of accounts via regular site visits and meetings. • Identifies and develops a robust pipeline of prospective customers and builds a professional network within the industry. • Conducts market research to uncover value drivers and effectively communicates accurate and timely market updates to multiple levels of management. • Actively participates in the preparation and execution of sales plans, events and campaigns. • Communicates and effectively presents Axalta solutions to key decision makers at prospective companies. • Effectively communicates and collaborates with internal and external resources to deliver results. • Maintains accurate account information and contact data in SalesForce (SFDC). • Gain New accounts and develops product expertise/leadership to customers/prospects in support of the General Industrial products portfolio including customer support, processing techniques, production procedures, data collection, new start-ups, and resolution of complex problems at the customer site. • To have the ability to have customer interfaces at all levels. Technical, application knowledge and abilities to train.
• An experienced sales professional with Structural Steel/General Industrial background and a strong track of successful customer support including market knowledge and technical support. • Bachelor’s degree and/or at least 5 years of industry experience, structural steel industry experience strongly preferred • 5 + years of direct selling experience to major OEMs with a track record of hitting or exceeding sales goals preferred • Experience selling to or managing relationships with top-tier clients at all levels preferred • Strong business development and prospecting skills and ability to quickly and effectively acquire new clients • Working knowledge Axalta’s core product lines and steel fabrication industry expertise • Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills • Excellent relationship building and presentation skills • Must possess strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills • Must have strong work ethic and self-discipline • Competent computer skills, proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Must be willing and able to travel up to 60% of the time • Valid driver’s license required
