• The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for supporting sales activities to win new business. • The ASM engages with potential customers and leads through the sales pipeline. • Supports the launch of new accounts and existing customer relationships. • Collaborates with managers for various sales initiatives and provides information for the sales process. • Responsible for analyzing financial data to understand business state and achieve sales goals. • Participates in healthcare conventions and internal meetings as needed. • Travels extensively to visit customers face to face in the assigned territory.
• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, communications, or another related field • 4+ years of experience in Capital Medical Equipment (preferred) and/or Medical Device sales and sales territory management. • Proven ability to grow revenues in their portfolio • Comfortable learning and discussing medical and clinical issues • Ability to present and demonstrate medical equipment and devices • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal • Excellent negotiation and decision-making abilities • Ability to travel in the assigned territory up to 80% of the time and outside of assigned territory as requested for conference support, to attend internal and external meetings, and other initiatives that arise requiring such travel. • Competency using CMS (such as Salesforce).
