• 3-5 years direct employee relations experience • 3-5 years’ experience in retail, manufacturing and or corporate HR • Proven experience supervising and developing a team • Senior Level experience with employee complaints, time attendance issues • Proficient in local employment laws • Experience developing strong people practices/programs across multiple areas • Demonstrated knowledge of coaching, mediation and investigation best practices • Ability to analyze people problems and collaborate on solutions • Ability to build relationships and manage complex team dynamics • Excellent listening and communication skills • Excellent analytical, critical thinking skills • Excellent organization and time management • Proficient in excel, Microsoft suite, adaptable to other systems • Ability to travel up to 20% to shops, Vancouver, or Toronto
• Promote wellbeing resources • Provide expert knowledge of emergency protocol • Aid the return-to-work process • Support staff and managers in time and attendance best practices
