• Do you have a passion for higher education? • Do you want to make a positive impact on the college admissions process? • Our staff help to remove barriers and encourage students to forge their path to a better future. • Common App is a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to the pursuit of access, equity, and integrity in the college admission process. • Each year we support more than 1 million students, one-third of whom are first-generation, as they apply to our more than 1000 diverse member colleges & universities using the Common App's free online application. • If you are an experienced People Operations Coordinator professional and want to be part of a mission-driven non-profit that uses innovative technology to advance the college admission process, Common App may be a great match for you. • Common App is currently searching for a People Operations Coordinator. • The People Operations Coordinator reports to and works in conjunction with the Director People Operations & Compliance to support People Operations initiatives and ensure a supportive, transparent, and consistent employee experience for the Common App employees. • This individual will support payroll, benefits administration, new hire orientations, data integrity, recruiting, performance management, employee training, and People Operations compliance activities. • Additionally, they will work in tandem with the VP People Operations and other People Operations team members to coordinate other aspects of the employee life-cycle and organizational development, employee engagement, and being a champion of the culture we are building.

Requirements

• Candidates must live in the United States. • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline; or an equivalent combination of experience and education. • 2-4 years of experience within the HR field with at least 1-2 years of benefits experience. • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills with the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines. • Attention to detail in all regards, and the ability to proofread and edit for grammar, spelling, and punctuation with a high level of accuracy. • Positive, collaborative, and results-oriented demeanor with the ability to quickly adapt and flex according to business and customer needs. • Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service focus, and exceptional interpersonal skills. • Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively in a diverse, team-oriented environment, as well as appropriately seeking guidance and direction as necessary. • Demonstrated sound judgment and the ability to use discretion regarding sensitive/confidential matters. • Ability to recognize the root cause of issues and to proactively develop solutions and streamline People Operations processes. • Proficient in MS Office suite, Google and Adobe applications, applicant tracking systems, HRIS & payroll platforms. • SHRM-CP or PHR Certification. • Experience creating and editing HR documentation and presentations; policy and SOP writing. • Experience using Paycom. • Visa processing, and managing the implementation process for new software. • A passion for higher education is a plus.
